Mexican Formula 1 driver Sergio "Checo" Pérez expressed his gratitude to Red Bull Racing on Wednesday, following the Austrian team’s announcement of his departure at the end of the 2024 season.

Although ‘Checo’ repeatedly stated that he had an active contract with Red Bull to race in 2025, this past year delivered unexpected results—especially disappointing to Christian Horner.

Despite having recently signed a new deal that would keep him at Oracle Red Bull Racing until at least 2026, it seems like Sergio "Checo" Pérez's time as part of the team is coming to an end.
