Last week, the Boston Celtics signed Jordan Schakel to an Exhibit 10 deal, filling their final offseason roster spot. They then waived him, creating room to add a 21st team member again. That spot is now occupied by a former New York Knick.

According to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, the Boston Celtics have signed center Dmytro Skapintsev to an Exhibit 10 contract. Skapintsev appeared in two games for the New York Knicks last season.

While he has had a bit of an up-and-down offensive game over the course of his pro career, he is a plus defender who has shown he can provide depth to a contending team.
