New Orleans water towers depleted after winter storm, leading to east bank boil water advisory
Taxed by demands on the city's water system, two 200-foot water towers built by the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board to pressurize the city's drinking water failed to adequately do so on Sunday, leading to a one-day boil-water advisory for the entire east bank of the city.
Citywide boil water notice lifted in Pascagoula; Moss Point still under notice
Meanwhile, a boil water advisory remains in place for Moss Point residents and others south of the Escatawpa River. Water pressure is back to normal, and the water system is being flushed. This story will be updated as we learn more information.
