The Washington Capitals are fiddling with the lineup to try and help Alex Ovechkin break an all-time great scoring record.
The previous summer's No. 1 and No. 2 overall picks — Alexander Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin — wouldn't have played in the World Juniors in a normal year. They'd have been in the NHL.
