What started as a father/son bonding experience turned into a full-blown, nut-and-bolt resto of this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS 396.
This highly optioned 1968 SS 396 Chevy Camaro was found in a yard, where it had rusted away for 40 years. It’s been saved and will be undergoing a full restoration.
For example, Chevrolet introduced a 396 (6.5-liter) engine as an option for the Camaro SS, with the power output, therefore, increased to 350 horsepower.
Built in Van Nuys, California, the HH-code Camaro you see here was very nicely optioned, with the RS and SS packages, fold-down rear seat, L78 375-horse 396, and console gauges (among other goodies).
