British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and U.S. President Donald Trump agreed to meet soon on a call on Sunday when they also spoke about the royal family and of their two countries "warm ties", according to statement from Downing Street.

Starmer is keen to promote Britain to Trump and big U.S. companies as his government seeks new sources of investment to try to breath life into a stagnant British economy

Donald Trump is expected to visit the UK “soon” after Sir Keir Starmer became the first European leader to speak to the president since his inauguration.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and US President Donald Trump discussed trade and the Middle East in their first conversation since Trump re-entered the White House. They also agreed to “meet soon.”

Donald Trump has said he has a “very good relationship” with Sir Keir Starmer, adding the Prime Minister has done a “very good job thus far”.
