According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on SportsCenter, the vote from NFL owners to ban the tush push is expected to be "pretty close" with approval needed from 24 of the 32 owners to pass.
The Green Bay Packers have submitted a revised proposal to ban the "Tush Push," the controversial play that played an integral role in the Philadelphia Eagles' 2024 Super Bowl run. The NFL's owners are expected to vote on the play's future during Wednesday's league meeting in Minneapolis.
With the NFL's league meetings set to open up in Minneapolis on Tuesday, the Packers submitted a revision of their rule proposal that would more broadly ban pushing or pulling the ball carrier anywhere on the field,
"In the Packers’ new revision, which will be voted on this Tuesday and Wednesday, pushing and pulling any ball carrier would be banned — just like the NFL had it back in 2005. If other owners opposed the original ban due to language concerns, this change should certainly alleviate that.
