Tesla is banking on self-driving technology to drive its next wave of growth. The company recently launched robotaxi services in Austin and completed a fully autonomous Model Y delivery, with no driver and no remote guidance. Musk envisions robotaxis as a game-changing revenue stream amid rising EV competition.

Tesla announced Wednesday it delivered about 384,000 vehicles during the second quarter of 2025, down by about 60,000 from the same time period last year. In total, Tesla delivered 384,122 vehicles during the quarter, according to a news release from the company. The Austin-based company delivered 443,956 vehicles during the same time in 2024.
