South Africa reached the World Test Championship 2025 semi-finals after they beat Pakistan in the first Test on December 29. They were equally dreadful in the second Test as they won the game by 10 wickets and the series by 2-0. The linchpin of their second win in Cape Town was star pacer, Kagiso Rabada as he picked six wickets in the game.

Australia's recent ban on under-16s using social media platforms has prompted many people to question whether South Africa should do the same.

South Africa has secured their spot in the World Test Championship final by defeating Pakistan in the first Test.

South Africa coach Shukri Conrad has hinted that the Proteas are looking for an opponent to play a Test match in England before their World Test Championship (WTC) final face-off against Australia at Lord’s from June 11. South Africa does not have any five-day matches scheduled before the WTC final.

When they beat Pakistan two months later, Bangladesh looked like a different side. However, they then had series defeats against India, South Africa and Afghanistan. They went to West Indies an injury-hit side, but ended up winning a Test in Jamaica, and then beating the home side in the T20I series in St Vincent.

South Africa and Australia will contest the third World Test Championship final after the latter defeated India in Sydney to claim a 3-1 series win in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. The match will be played at Lord's from June 11 to 15.
