A slimmer phone means scaling back on some components, including the battery. The Galaxy S25 Edge has a 3,900 mAh battery, compared to 4,000 mAh on the baseline S25 and 4,900 mAh on the S25 Plus. Samsung says the S25 Edge's battery should last you all day, and in my experience so far, this has been true -- but don't expect any more than that.

We have the new Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge in the house for testing. We have had it for a few hours. But we are not allowed to talk much about it. Because, well – embargoes! But you know what? Maybe that is okay.

In order for Samsung to achieve its engineering marvel with the Galaxy S25 Edge, the company had to cram a much smaller battery into its svelte frame. This turns out to be a 3,900 mAh battery cell, which is actually a smidge smaller than the 4,000 mAh battery in the regular Galaxy S25.
