Users across the US report that money transfer apps such as PayPal and Venmo are down, causing outrage. Tracking site DownDetector has reported the outage, stating both services went down just before 9 a.m. on Friday.

The PayPal status page indicated “service disruptions” to the online checkout, retail checkout, reporting and Braintree areas of the service. Venmo’s status was marked as “operational”; however, some users reported outages.
