Monday marks Veterans Day across the country, and there are several ways the Orange County community is recognizing the holiday.

While most civic operations will pause Monday in observance of Veterans Day, a host of coastal Orange County cities and organizations have planned tributes to military service persons on the holiday.

That support will be evident with events planned all across Northeast Florida. At Anastasia Baptist Church in St. Augustine, St. Johns County Sheriff and Desert Storm veteran Rob Hardwick will speak at a ceremony,

Orange County’s elections office, where ballots were being counted, received a bomb threat Friday afternoon, the registrar said. Staff and members of the public who were watching ballots being tallied were evacuated from the Santa Ana building at about 6:45 p.m., Bob Page, the registrar of voters said, and everyone is safe.

Registrars of voters' offices in Orange and Riverside counties were evacuated Friday evening after receiving bomb threats, but no explosives were located at either site.
