The final AFC playoff spot is up for grabs with the Broncos facing a win-and-in Week 18. If they lose, the Bengals and Dolphins are lurking.

And while the current NFL playoff picture is pretty clear in AFC (six of the seven teams have clinched spots) and the NFC (two spots are available), that means there are still squads that are very much alive heading into the penultimate week of regular-season action.

Saturday’s three games had four playoff hopefuls in the mix. That’s a lot of fun before Sunday’s slate even kicks off. On Christmas, the Kansas City Chiefs clinched the one seed with their win over the Steelers.

The NFC still needs a lot of sorting out with two weeks left to play in the 2024 NFL season.

The Vikings beat the Packers at home on Sunday to get to 14-2 on the season. That moved them into the lead in the NFC North. The division will come down to their game next week in Detroit. As of now, the Lions are looking at a first-round bye in the playoffs.

The NFL playoff picture is almost complete, with the NFC field coming into focus in Week 17 thanks to movement from the Vikings, Rams, Commanders and Eagles.

The AFC North title and the final wild-card spot are still up for grabs in the AFC after the Chiefs, Bills, and Texans locked themselves into their respective seeds with Week 17 wins. Everyone else can still shake around while three teams are in the hunt for the No. 7 seed.

There are nine games on the NFL Week 17 schedule today, with some very important division and conference matchups. There are six games in the early NFL game window, including the New York Jets at Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles.
