The United States on Tuesday said Israel is not currently impeding humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip and therefore is not violating U.S. law, avoiding restrictions on U.S. military aid.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Biden administration says Israel has made good but limited progress in increasing the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza and it will not limit arms transfers to Israel as it had threatened to a month ago if the situation had not improved.

A Post analysis based on more than a dozen interviews found Israel has largely failed to comply with U.S. demands, bringing parts of northern Gaza closer to famine.
