A 60-year-old man is dead after driving his golf cart onto a lake and falling through the ice. Jeffrey Nowak of Greencastle was pulled from the water by first responders and rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A 60-year-old man from Greencastle, Indiana, died after his golf cart broke through the ice on Glenn Flint Lake, resulting in a fatal accident.

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the death of a Greencastle man on Glenn Flint Lake. Shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, emergency crews responded to a water rescue where a golf cart had fallen through the ice.

Golf carts may be low-speed vehicles, but they are raising high-impact safety concerns in the East Valley. A viewer recently contacted ABC15 after witnessing close calls involving teens and kids driving golf carts in Gilbert and Chandler.
