Power restorations nearly complete in Louisiana after Hurricane Francine, Entergy says
Nearly all of the hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses that suffered power outages in Louisiana due to Hurricane Francine had their lights turned back on by late Monday, though there were still a few outages in hard hit coastal areas.
Entergy: Power was restored post-Francine at a record-setting pace
On Grand Isle, a barrier island in lower Jefferson Parish, Mayor David Carmadelle told FOX 8 that 95% of properties retained power, with Entergy restoring power to the remaining 5% within two days. U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-Louisiana, expressed his gratitude to those who worked tirelessly to restore electricity.
