Several people are due to appear before courts in Dublin on Friday following Thursday's anti-immigration protest and anti-racism counter-protest.

Irish police on Thursday arrested 19 people in Dublin after anti-immigration protesters blocked the main bridge in the capital for hours at peak traffic time. The bridge blockade during the evening rush hour followed a march by the around 500 anti-immigration protesters through central Dublin to the Irish parliament.

An anti- immigration protest in Dublin ’s city centre was dispersed by gardaí after several hours on Thursday, as 19 people were arrested in a large policing operation actioned to manage the demonstration.
