Nearly 15 years since the country's last firing squad death, an inmate in South Carolina elects to be shot to death.

A death row inmate in South Carolina has chosen a firing squad for his execution. Brad Sigmon was convicted of murdering two people during a 2002 burglary in Greenville County. A jury found Sigmon guilty of beating the parents of his estranged girlfriend to death with a baseball bat. He is set to be executed March 7.
