Sean Kuraly will reunite with the Bruins after spending the last four seasons with the Blue Jackets. But he might not be able to wear the number he had during his first five NHL seasons in Boston.

The Boston Bruins have announced that they have signed Sean Kuraly to a two-year, $3.7 million deal at an average annual value (AAV) of $1.85 million. As well as Michael Eyssimont to a two-year, $2.9 million deal that carries an AAV of $1.

Tuesday marked the official start of NHL free agency. The Boston Bruins made several moves as they hope to improve from a disappointing 2024-25 season. The Bruins missed the postseason last year and ended up with the No. 7 pick in the NHL Draft. Boston used that pick to select center James Hagens out of Boston College.

A collection of free agent veterans also joined the Bruins, including old friend Sean Kuraly, Tanner Jeannot, Mikey Eyssimont, Matej Blumel, Alex Steeves, and former Northeastern defenseman Jordan Harris.
