Oh Kew… The Christmas lights have been magical in the past. We made it a family tradition to go every year on Christmas Eve. I hate to leave a poor review but hope it will change things for next year… Full review by Catherine R

I’m surprised by the negative comments about the holiday lights. Granted, I have not been to Kew for holiday lights before, though I have been to Kew at other times of the year. I thought the light… Full review by valeriem446

I need to start by saying Kew is one of my favourite places to visit during the year but I also love my annual visit to see the Christmas lights. I have been every Christmas for 7 years. I look for… Full review by Explorer278

I asked this question last week, go at your allotted time but you can get in the queue a tad earlier if you like as there's always a wait. We usually join the queue 15 minutes beforehand, by the time we get there it's spot on. If you have a special reason then call ahead or email them.

Hi, please could someone let me know how often the land train runs? We would like to do the hop on and off as my mobility is currently not great following an operation. Is it only every hour or is it more frequent please? Thanks

Hi there, we visited inMay and from memory it ran every 20 or 30 minutes. The only potential problem with the hop on/off theory is that most people seem to stay onboard for the whole circuit, so there is just a chance that there won’t be space to hop back on, from the intermediate stops. However, for someone with mobility challenges, I’m sure they driver would try to accommodate. Cheers

I’m taking my mum in a wheelchair to Kew. Will 1 day be enough to see everything or better to split into 2? Thanks

I think that 1 day would be enough. If your mother's wheelchair doesn't need manual pushing the only restriction is needing to stick to the paths with a hard surface. I would not recommend taking it onto the grass pathways. Check the information on their website ( or email Kew) as to whether the "train" is wheelchair accessible. If you can get the "train" you can have a tour of the gardens and get out at any location you would like to stop at and explore. Look at the garden map and plan your visit with a break in the middle for lunch and/or tea. in general I found the food and drink available relatively expensive and not great and my friends and I usually take food with us - it depends hoe much you want to carry. I sound a bit negative BUT the plants, flowers and trees are wonderful.
