The walk up is hard going but the view was worth every step. Walking piles would be useful if it’s been wet as it gets a bit slippery in the way downFull review by Nic M

Many routes around the Golden Cap estate but fundamentally a big walk up the tallest peak on the costal path. Amazing views but a good level of fitness is key!Full review by Sjc997

Hi James, The best way is to park in Langdon Woods (NT car park) and then walk through the woods (go straight on in the direction you have driven into the car park). After a fairly short flat walk you will see a signpost on the left pointing down a hill. This will take you into the valley and then up to Golden Cap. Langdon Woods is just off the A35, at the end a small lane on the left just after leaving Chideock in the direction of Lyme Regis, before you get to Felicity's Farm Shop. It is off the steep hill out of Chideock and you need to keep your eyes peeled for the turning, it is at the start of some dual carriageway. When you go down the lane, there is a turning to the left which takes you to the woods. The George in Chideock is a good place for lunch or of course you could walk down to Seatown or St Gabriel's if you want a longer walk. Have a great time.

Heading West through Chideok as the main road begins to climb up out of the village, there is a cream tea sign on the left on the corner of a small street. Turn left into this street and find somewhere to park. Stroll down the lane for about 300 yards and there is a marked track on the right. Take this track and amble gently through the woods up the hill and eventually on to Golden Cap. Delightful.
