You get information on tours that you would not get elsewhere. Even the self guided tours come with information booklets to help you truly understand the experience from the past. Hope this helps!

There is no admission fee for going through the displays at the office. You can pay for the bus tour which I recommend. The majority of the writings are now in a protected area seen only by the bus tour. (Go figure they have to protect them from vandalism). There is a campground that there are self guided hikes from. Pamphlets at the office. There us a charge for camping but the day use and beach area are free.
