I want to book first available it's saying 9:20 for main tour and 10:50 for explore more - does that give enough time for the main one?

All tours are guided. The house was built way before the ADA and is a physical challenge for many, not to mention it's truly a maze! The guides will keep you safe and oriented and keep up a scripted patter that's both educational (mostly factual) and entertaining. Be sure to call to check on what's open the day you intend to visit. I've experienced days when 2 or more of the tours were "down for maintenance," remodel or what have you. The cafeteria and museum should be open now, they were both closed in August 2019 when I was last at the house.
