LOVED this hike…from Tarawera car park (free parking!) to Hot Water Beach - 15 km each way. Easy hike & beautiful ferns & scenery along the way made the hike so very enjoyable.Full review by lovetravellivetravel

This is a hike we had always wanted to do - from the carpark to Hot water Beach. We loved it even though it took us 5 1/2 hrs instead of 4 hrs!! So, no time for soak at hot water beach. But our water…Full review by Katrina K

Yes there is a water taxi that I believe you have to pre-book. $28.00 as per the website Totally Tarawera
