I used Oscar who is listed and he set me up with an excellent person. He was listed under Travel Advisor. There are guides on site and also, there is the Chamber of Commerce in Monteverde, itself. Curi Cancha is fairly easy to walk around. There are huge tree type sticks that are available for help steady one. The difficult terrain for me was during the night walk at Monteverde. Really a bit rough as had a fractured ankle in 16 with a plate inserted.

Like this tour somebody did it for $18, 45, 48 etc. This time we prefer to do in our own time as much as we can. We are going to rent a car. So I don't know if this one is ok to go in your own???

Yes you are certainly OK to drive on your own to this tour. If you want to have a guide your best to call ahead and make a reservation. We did a lot of tours without guides but this …

Yes you are certainly OK to drive on your own to this tour. If you want to have a guide your best to call ahead and make a reservation. We did a lot of tours without guides but this one we did do a guide and I think it was well worth it. I really don't think we would've seen anywhere as close to as much as we saw without a guide. Then again I could probably say that about some of the other tours we went on and really enjoyed them without a guide.
