"Is there a cafe in the park or any undercover area in case of rain ?" Unfortunately no... It's better to be ready with plan B in case of a bad weather. Personally, i would recommend going to "The Hope & Anchor", which is really close to the Tower. It is a cosy pub with good food and atmosphere. BTW - since you're gonna be 8 people, it's probably better to reserve a place.

Hi, Cabot Tower is just a short walk from the city center. About a quarter of a mile in distance. Walk up Park Street from the center, and take Great George Street on your left. This will take you in to Brandon Hill grounds where the tower is situated. Good views of the city from here. Entrance to the tower is free and spectacular views from the top. Enjoy
